Microsoft and Oracle provide end-to-end support for customers running business-critical Oracle software on Windows Azure Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic Server, and the Java development environment are now available, in preview, in the Windows Azure Virtual Machines Image Gallery. These images include licenses for the Oracle software that they contain. During the preview period, there is no charge for the included Oracle licenses. You will pay only for the Windows Azure compute and storage resources that your Virtual Machine consumes. If you would prefer to use an Oracle software license that you already own, you can do that too. Just choose a Windows Server image from the Image Gallery and install the Oracle software yourself. Whether you bring your own Oracle license or use one of the license-included images, you now have increased flexibility and choice in where to deploy your applications and the peace of mind that comes from knowing you will be fully supported by Oracle. To get started, sign in to the Windows Azure Management Portal and add a new Virtual Machine from the Image Gallery. Multi-Factor Authentication delivers enterprise authentication that is easy to set up, manage, and use Windows Azure Multi-Factor Authentication is now generally available to help secure access to both on-premises and cloud applications. Convenient phone-based authentication methods address user demand for easy, anywhere access while also meeting your organization’s security and compliance needs. Backed by a service level agreement, the Multi-Factor Authentication service is enterprise ready with support for a wide range of authentication scenarios. On-Premises, Cloud, and Hybrid For on-premises applications and federated single sign-on to cloud services, the Multi-Factor Authentication Server is installed within your network or on a virtual machine in Windows Azure. For cloud applications like Microsoft Office 365 that use Windows Azure Active Directory, you just enable the service for users in your directory. A software development kit is available. Getting Started Sign in to the Windows Azure Management Portal and click New → App Services → Active Directory → Multi-Factor Auth → Quick Create. Type a name, select the usage model and directory (optional), and follow these steps to set up Multi-Factor Authentication for the applications that you wish to secure.
